What is Bandspace

Bandspace designs, builds and hosts websites for bands, comics, comedy.. creative stuff, basically, and gives you the tools to keep them up-to-date, as and when you want to.

Your website?

I design every website to be original - no boring templates or recycled sites. I'm also very happy to listen to and implement your suggestions and ideas. In fact, I encourage it, as you know better than anyone else the nature of your work - and how that translates visually.

Keeping the information up-to-date

Once you have a website, you'll probably want to keep the information up-to-date.
To that end I've developed a content management system (CMS) - a very easy-to-use but versatile administration website where you can update all kinds of information on your website, as and when you want to:

1. Tourdates Enter date and venue, press 'submit', and the date appears on your website. Gig over? The entry is automatically moved to the optional 'past gigs' page at midnight. Where applicable, links to events, venues and other bands are automatically added.
2. News Add or edit news as often as you like, and specify the date for the information to disappear from the website (but remain archived).
3. Guestbook or discussion board Edit or remove unwanted entries. Being spammed? Reject entries based on certain banned words.
4. Links Add, edit and change the order of links to your favourite websites on your (optional) links page/
5. Newsletter Bandspace comes with an integrated emailing solution. Send personalised plain text or HTML newsletters to up to 5,000 subscribers. Visitors can subscribe and unsubscribe from your website as and when they want.

Bandspace provides real-time website statistics such as number of unique visitors, geographic origin, from what website they made the jump to your site, etc.

The future

New options get added to the CMS all the time - and as an existing website, you usually get to use them as well. For instance, next on the to-do list is a feature to automatically inform gig-listings on the web of your next gig. Add your gig to your website, then one extra click to tell the NME, ents24.com, thelist.co.uk etc..
